On July 20th, Cabrini Green Legal Aid, Exelon Corporation, Skadden Arps, and the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County will co-host a community Records Relief Seminar. The seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.) and will be held at LaSalle Street Church’s Cornerstone Center, located at 1111 N. Wells Street in Chicago.

The seminar will be a one-stop-shop for individuals with past criminal records to access the legal process for demonstrating they are rehabilitated and deserving of employment opportunities. Attorneys, paralegals, and other professionals will be on-site to assist in this life-changing process, giving those who have made mistakes, paid for them, and turned their lives around the opportunity to get back to work!

Important: In order to provide the highest quality service to every individual, we are requiring that clients pre-register for this seminar online at www.cgla.net or by calling 312-738-2452, ext. 438. In order to receive assistance at the Records Relief Seminar, individuals must obtain their RAP sheets from the City of Chicago Police Department, located at 3510 S. Michigan Avenue. The cost for obtaining a RAP sheet is $16. There will be no further cost associated with the Records Relief Seminar.

Pre-registration ends on Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
