This CLE program covers immigration remedies available for immigrant children. These include remedies for children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected or who have been victims of persecution in their home countries or victims of violent crimes in the United States. The training begins with an overview of unaccompanied immigrant children in the United States, and then discusses different remedies available to this particularly vulnerable group in need of pro bono representation. Specifically, the training discusses how to represent an immigrant child seeking special immigrant juvenile status, asylum and/or protection as the victim of a violent crime.
