Position Description

LAF is looking for an unpaid volunteer paralegal/intern to work one or two half-days (four hours each) per week assisting two of our staff attorneys. The paralegal/intern will draft and send closing letters to clients, send surveys to former clients, review and organize case files, scan documents into our case management system and enter notes into our case management system.

Position Requirements

Candidates must have an interest in poverty law and experience working in a fast-paced, professional office enviornment. Legal experience is a plus.  Candidates must be able very detail-oriented and able to follow multi-step instructions carefully and thoroughly. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.
