To Users of Illinois Legal Aid Online websites:

You may have noticed recently that our websites, IllinoisLegalAid.org, AyudaLegalIL.org, IllinoisLegalAdvocate.org and IllinoisProBono.org, were down. Unfortunately they were hacked, which may have caused you to receive a warning when trying to access one of these sites that using the website may harm your computer.

We are happy to report that we have resolved the problem, and the websites are back online. We have asked Google to remove our websites from their list of sites that have been reported as attack sites, which resulted in the warning page you may have seen. This process may take a day or more, but until the warning is removed, you can safely click through that message to access our sites. Our investigations did not reveal that any personal data was compromised by this incident, and we have instituted new security measures to prevent this type of attack in the future.
