Chicago Public Housing Residents Claim That Redevelopment Plan for ABLA Will Perpetuate Racial Segregation

The Chicago Housing Authority’s redevelopment plan for the ABLA public housing development would increase racial segregation and create a wealthy, mostly white enclave on Chicago’s Near West Side, according to a class action suit filed in federal court by the Sargent Shirver National Center on Poverty Law.
